Ball to Kick Off Christmas Season with Tree Cutting

State Agriculture Commissioner will join the Christmas Tree Farmers Association of New York to kick off the Christmas season and promote farm-fresh trees grown in New York. The event includes a tree-cutting at Emmerich Tree Farm, the first tree farm to
join the New York State Grown & Certified program, and a stop at Pennings Farm Market and Cidery to promote the Hudson Valley's top agri-tourism destinations.
The event takes place Nov. 21 at noon at the Emmerich Tree Farm in Warwick.
Ball will be joined by Christmas Tree Farmers Association of New York Executive Director Mary Jeanne Packer, Farm Owners Kurt and Karen Emmerich ad Farm Market and Cidery Owner Steve Pennings.
